A literal flood.

No, really. Trying to edit, and I’m on target with the first manuscript, slaying the typos and tightening all those words into place….

when my apartment sprouts a water feature that wasn’t actually listed as a feature. The floor tiles are popping up like a wee San Andreas Fault line, and the workers are in my tiny kitchen currently destroying it.

Funnily enough, they were very smitten with my soldering torch. I didn’t tell them I have a hydroflux welder too. Next thing you know, they’ll want to borrow all my stuff. I did offer them a selection of hammers.

Some admin work taken care of, and some more stuff to do, and I’m going to try to ignore the banging and crashing and the alarmed sounds from the kitchen.

Later, lunch, and do some book outlining, and see what’s salvageable for NightShift 2, and…oh right, look for some author events.

Back to the salt mines with me.
